Established under the Suzhou Technology Translation Platform Development Programme in 2025, the Centre has been recognised as the Suzhou AI-Driven Biopharmaceutical Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Centre and is a member of the Suzhou Biopharmaceutical Proof-of-Concept Centre Alliance.
Building upon Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University’s strong foundation in industry collaboration, the Centre serves a broad range of innovation stakeholders, including universities, research institutes, enterprises, start-ups, and individual innovators. By integrating scientific resources, technological expertise, and industrial partnerships, the Centre supports the critical transition from original discoveries to proof-of-concept validation, helping emerging healthcare technologies bridge the gap between research outcomes and practical applications.
Focusing on the biopharmaceutical sector, the Centre prioritises the development of AI-enabled technologies for antibody-based therapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, fusion antibodies, and related products such as antibody fragments, polymers, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). In parallel, the Centre supports the development of intelligent biopharmaceutical manufacturing technologies and equipment.
Through an integrated support framework spanning scientific discovery, proof-of-concept validation, and market engagement, the Centre aims to accelerate the translation of innovative technologies, foster collaboration across academia and industry, and contribute to the development of a dynamic biopharmaceutical innovation ecosystem.
