Khalid Akhal has a unique mix of professional experience in academia, management, and media. Over the past 20 years, he has worked with several international organizations such as the United Nations University, LG Electronics, and China Central Television.He gained his Ph.D. in International Business Management with several awards of excellence from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing China and his MSc. degree in the same subject from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom.
Being an expatriate for most of his career, his main research interests are expatriates’ cross-cultural adaptation, entrepreneurial orientation, and work performance with a core focus on the Cultural Intelligence (CQ) theory. He conducted both business and academic research projects and has several peer-reviewed publications with reputable international journals. He is a reviewer at the Cross-Cultural and Strategic Management Journal and the Journal of Management Research Review from Emerald Publishing. He is a certified AP Microeconomics and Macroeconomics instructor by the American College Board, and a certified CQ facilitator by the Cultural Intelligence Center in Michigan, USA.
