XJTLU Museum invites renowned museum directors, curators, and artists to deliver a series of themed lectures. These talks share the latest practices in culture and museums, along with artistic explorations and achievements, broadening the horizons of students and staff while inspiring creativity and cultural confidence.
International Museum Day (May 18) Events
Each year on International Museum Day, the Museum collaborates with curators, artists, inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, and leading cultural institutions to create a diverse program of dialogue and exchange. Through rich cultural practices, the event sparks new ideas, generates waves of innovation, and contributes to the sustainable development of museums.
YOUTH STUDY PROGRAMS
XJTLU Museum has developed a series of cultural and artistic experience courses highlighting both Eastern and Western traditions. Extending to nearby communities and schools, it has built a cultural education network that links museums, schools, and society. Through dialogue, sharing, and hands-on experiences, these programs spark young people’s curiosity and support their growth into well-rounded individuals with a cross-cultural perspective.
TEDx BRAND CONFERENCE
TEDxXJTLU was officially licensed by TED on March 7, 2019. Initiated by staff from the XJTLU Museum and jointly operated by teachers and students, it is an independent, non-profit volunteer organization. With a spirit close to the youth, it has planted the seeds of “daring to think, daring to express, and daring to act” in the soil of XJTLU. The publication of the TEDxXJTLU 5th anniversary book has also brought new vitality and creativity to spreading the TEDx spirit in universities. Looking ahead, we will continue to create platforms, share new ideas, encourage dialogue, and open up more possibilities, helping people gain a deeper understanding of the world.
FIRST UNIVERSITY LICENSEE MEETINGS IN CHINA
As a leading representative of university TEDx conferences in China, TEDxXJTLU is committed not only to improving the quality and influence of its own events, but also to actively engaging in cooperation and exchange with TEDx communities nationwide. In 2024, the XJTLU Museum organized and hosted the first University Licensee Conference, where TEDx teams from across the country shared planning experience and explored innovative approaches to events. Through this in-depth exchange, cooperation and trust among university TEDx teams were strengthened, further advancing the development of TEDx communities in China’s universities.
