Rining WEI (Tony), PhD, teaches courses related to English language education and research methods at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, at the Department of Applied Linguistics, XJTLU, where he serves as Deputy Head of Department. He has supervised nearly 30 master’s and PhD dissertations to successful completion, which cover three areas: (1) English Education & TESOL [Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages], (2) Bilingual Education & Bilingualism (BEB), with a particular focus on individual differences (e.g., grit and resilience) in learning an additional language, and (3) English for Specific Purposes (ESP).Currently, Dr. Wei also serves as
