On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, XJTLU International Innovation Hub will launch the second course in its four-part maker series: Fun 3D Modeling and Printing. In this session, Innovation and Entrepreneur Mentor will guide students with no prior experience in 3D modeling, helping them master essential modeling tools and concepts. Students will utilize Designspark software to create 3D models and export the necessary files for printing. They will slice the models and set parameters, transforming their creativity into 3D printing instructions. Additionally, students will operate the 3D printer on-site to produce their final printed models. The mentors will also explain various 3D printing processes and applications, providing students with a practical understanding of the parameters that influence outcomes in FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) processes through the use of 3D printing pens.
