International Innovation Hub (IIH) sincerely invite you to participate in our "Innovation Factory Open Day" on September 23, 2026 (Wednesday). The emergence of large AI models has significantly lowered the barriers to entry for programming and technical design. Coupled with the widespread availability of maker equipment—such as desktop laser cutters and 3D printers—and affordable online sources for components, the OPC (One-Person Company) startup model—where an individual independently creates a prototype—is emerging as a new pathway for low-cost innovation and entrepreneurship among university students. Leveraging its own maker ecosystem and industrial incubation resources, and in collaboration with Chaihuo Maker AI Pioneer initiative, XJTLU International Innovation Hub hosts this event aims to help students bypass the high-cost barriers associated with traditional entrepreneurship and master the core OPC capability of independently transforming an idea into a finished product.

This Innovation Factory Open Day targets university students interested in the maker innovation. It deeply integrates hands-on smart hardware practice and lightweight AI model deployment with the OPC entrepreneurship framework. Participants not only learn to deploy lightweight models on devices like the Wio Terminal—enabling smart interactions and functional innovation—but also master a practical methodology for solo hardware entrepreneurship, effectively evolving from ordinary makers into aspiring OPC entrepreneurs.
