Recently, teachers and students from the Human Resource Management and People Analytics programme at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) embarked on an insightful corporate visit to the headquarters of Career International in Shanghai. Upholding IBSS's educational philosophy of "valuing both academic knowledge and professional competence," this visit built a bridge between classroom theory and workplace practice, further deepening the sound cooperative relationship between the university and enterprises in collaborative talent cultivation.

As a leading enterprise in China's human resource services industry, Career International adheres to the mission of "Empowering Talents, Achieving Enterprises." Its business covers multiple countries and regions worldwide, boasting rich industry experience and leading service capabilities in talent recruitment, flexible staffing, human resource outsourcing, and other fields. At the start of the visit, Chris Li, Career International's University-Enterprise Cooperation Director, took the company's development history as the main line, providing teachers and students with a detailed introduction to the company's growth trajectory since its establishment, core business layout, and industry-leading human resource solutions. Leveraging digital technology and big data applications, Career International has built a full-chain talent service system, allowing students to intuitively perceive the modern development trends of the HR industry.

In the career sharing session, Schafer Song, a senior HR consultant at Career International with years of experience in the healthcare sector, shared cutting-edge industry insights with the students. Focusing on key development trends in the healthcare industry such as policy support, market expansion, and industrial chain upgrading, Schafer comprehensively analyzed the industry's talent demand pain points and development opportunities, covering areas from biopharmaceutical R&D and medical device innovation to health management services. Combining practical cases, he highlighted the particularities of HR management in the healthcare industry—such as recruitment and screening standards for medical professionals, skills in building interdisciplinary teams, and requirements for compliant staffing management. He also shared how precise talent matching and echelon construction planning can help enterprises gain a competitive edge in the fierce industry competition.

The most popular session among students was the mock interview, which brought the on-site atmosphere to a climax. Career International specially arranged three senior HR consultant leaders to provide students with an immersive interview experience through one-on-one practical sessions. During the interviews, based on the core competency requirements of HR positions, the consultants raised targeted questions covering the application of professional knowledge, past practical experience, workplace scenario response, and career planning awareness, comprehensively assessing the students' overall quality. Facing the professional questions from the senior consultants, the students responded calmly with clear logic, demonstrating solid professional foundation, excellent communication skills, and agile thinking ability, which won unanimous recognition from the consultant team. After the interviews, the consultants gave personalized comments one by one, affirming the students' strengths while accurately pointing out areas for improvement in resume optimization, response logic, and detail control, and providing actionable suggestions. This allowed the students to accumulate valuable experience in practice and benefit greatly.

In addition, the students gained an in-depth understanding of Career International's special training programmes for young talents. These programmes offer interns and fresh graduates rich resources such as systematic training, one-on-one mentorship, and multi-position rotations. In particular, special training modules are set up for key fields such as healthcare and high-end manufacturing, helping young talents quickly adapt to industry needs and enhance professional capabilities. This greatly encouraged students aspiring to engage in the HR industry.

This visit is a vivid practice of IBSS's industry-education integration talent cultivation model. Through close contact with benchmark enterprises in the industry, students not only deepened their understanding of the HR industry and the vertical healthcare sector, broadened their international perspectives, but also clarified their own shortcomings and improvement directions through practical interviews. In the future, IBSS will continue to build more high-quality university-enterprise cooperation platforms, integrate premium industry resources, and help students grow into international elites with both professional competence and practical abilities, injecting fresh vitality into the sustainable development of the HR industry and the healthcare sector.
