The Centre for Cognitive Intelligence and Agentic AI

The Centre for Cognitive Intelligence and Agentic AI

Centre overview

The Centre for Cognitive Intelligence and Agentic AI (CIAA) uses interdisciplinary research and collaboration to advance the theory, technology, and application of next-generation artificial intelligence (AI). The Centre explores how intelligent systems can perceive, reason, learn, interact, and act autonomously in complex physical, scientific, and human-centred environments.

The Centre brings together researchers with diverse international backgrounds and expertise in machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, multi-agent systems, and scientific intelligence. It conducts collaborative research with universities, research institutes, and industry partners in China and internationally.

Building on a strong interdisciplinary research foundation, the Centre aims to develop new cognitive and agentic AI technologies. This focus supports the training of future researchers and innovators and translates academic advances into meaningful solutions for science, industry, and society.
