The Centre’s collaborators include:

  • The Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IACAS), a national research institute specialises in acoustics, and signal processing. Collaboration focuses on urban acoustic source recognition. Formats for collaboration include funded projects, visiting research, and joint publications;
  • Suzhou Weishitong Intelligent Technology Co, Ltd, founded in 2020, specialising in panoramic AI and digital twin technologies. The company leverages 360-degree panoramic imaging, AI-powered computer vision algorithms, and spatial data management technologies to provide digital solutions for construction, property and facility management, urban renewal, and emergency management. The collaboration scope includes research and development of advanced algorithms, technical solutions, and system architectures;
  • AU Optronics, a global provider of semiconductor display products and solutions. Its core manufacturing base on the Chinese mainland, AU Optronics (Kunshan) Co, Ltd, represents a total investment of 3.3 billion USD, with registered capital of 1.561 billion USD. The company’s high-end products consistently rank among the top three globally by market share. It has been recognised as a National Green Factory in China, a Jiangsu Provincial Demonstration Smart Factory, and was a recipient of the 7th China Industry Award. Through a long-term and stable industry-university-research partnership, AU Optronics and the XJTLU have deployed innovations on manufacturing production lines, established the XJTLU-AUO Collaborative Research Centre, and jointly secured the Suzhou Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Laboratory in 2025; and
  • AISpeech Co, Ltd of Suzhou, China. This leading conversational AI platform company specialises in full-stack intelligent speech and language technologies, including speech recognition, speech synthesis, natural language understanding, and voice interaction solutions. The collaboration topic is voice interaction algorithms.
