Industry Collaboration Programmes

The AOA is committed to providing students with cutting-edge and practical education in artificial intelligence. The Academy has developed six industry-collaborative courses that cover key technologies and application scenarios in the field of artificial intelligence, namely:

  • Large-Scale Machine Learning Models for Industry: Focusing on the development and optimisation of machine learning models in industrial contexts.
  • Digital Twin Engineering: Exploring the application of digital twin technology in smart manufacturing and smart cities.
  • Machine Learning for Industry: Developing efficient machine learning solutions tailored to industrial needs.
  • Artificial Intelligence for Energy Sciences: Investigating innovative applications of artificial intelligence in the energy sector.
  • Spoken Language Processing: Delving into cutting-edge research in speech recognition and synthesis technologies.
  • Natural Language Processing: Exploring core technologies in language modelling and text analysis.

 

AI Specialised Training

The Academy not only emphasises academic education but also actively develops training courses aimed at different groups to meet the diverse societal demands for artificial intelligence technologies. Currently offered training courses include:

  • Prompt Engineering Training: Cultivating skills in AI prompt design and optimisation.
  • Python Programming Training: Enhancing foundational programming and AI development skills.
  • Unity and Digital Twin Training: Mastering the application of the Unity engine and digital twin technology.
  • Artificial Intelligence Themed Summer Camp and Winter Camp: An immersive learning experience designed for high school students, aimed at inspiring the younger generation’s interest and passion for the field of artificial intelligence.

Since the launch of the Unity training programme, 105 students have successfully completed the course and received their certificates of completion. Among them, nine outstanding students passed the Unity Certified Developer exam, demonstrating exceptional technical skills. Some students, based on their excellent final projects, have successfully qualified for written examinations at miHoYo Co., Ltd., a prominent gaming company. Additionally, students have achieved significant results in further education and employment:

Further education: Several students have been admitted to master’s programmes at internationally prestigious institutions, including the University of Pennsylvania and Boston University, US, for Computer Graphics and Graphics respectively, and the University of Bristol, UK, for Human-Computer Interaction.

Employment: Some students have secured internships at prominent companies such as NetEase, Unity China Headquarters, and Tencent, showcasing the competitiveness of the high-quality students cultivated by the academy in the industry.

Looking ahead, the academy will continue to expand its curriculum system and introduce AI social training programmes to disseminate AI technology and applications to enterprises and the general public. The Academy is committed to enhancing teaching quality, improving academic education, and nurturing more AI professionals with innovative capabilities and practical experience for society. Furthermore, the academy will further promote the application of artificial intelligence technology across various fields, contributing to industrial upgrading and social development.
