The Research Centre for AI and Education (RC4AIED) was established in December 2023. Through the joint efforts of the Research Centre’s Director, Professor Zhang, Xiaojun, Co-Director Dr Li, Na, and the team, by Oct 2025, the centre had 30 ongoing projects and a community of over 150 members. These members come from over ten countries worldwide, including China, the UK, the USA, Australia, France, Italy, Russia, Mexico, Greece, Spain, Singapore, Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia, with backgrounds spanning university leaders, professors, researchers, teachers, students, administrative staff, corporate executives, and experts from industry and government agencies. The academic backgrounds of the members cover more than 20 disciplines, including digital education, artificial intelligence, brain science, education, management, psychology, computer science, and more.
