Centre of Excellence for Brain Health and Neurotechnology advances cutting-edge research on the neural mechanisms underlying brain function and disorders, alongside neurotechnology, including Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) and precision neuromodulation, through the deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Aligned with China’s Brain Project 2030 and the national BCI future industries development plan (2026–2030), it focuses on developing AI-powered neural decoding and targeted interventions for neurological, psychiatric, and metabolic disorders. By pioneering breakthroughs at the intersection of mechanistic neuroscience, neurotechnology and AI, the centre will advance fundamental understanding of brain function and develop innovative neurotechnologies with transformative applications in healthcare, cognition, and precision medicine.
