Mengcen Shen, founder and principal of SILENCE—an experimental studio in Shanghai, based on interdisciplinary interactions between architecture and fine arts, literature, music and film. She holds a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design, a Master of Art from Shanghai University, and a Bachelor of Art from China Academy of Art. With various backgrounds in contemporary art and architecture, she had practices in Boston, Beijing and Shenzhen, and had teaching experience on Architecture and Film in RISD. Her artworks were selected in CA’ASI “The New Chinese Architecture Exhibition”, China Art Triennial. Her projects and papers were published on Architectural Journal, Proceedings of ASC Annual Conference 2019, Oriental Art, etc..
