With over seventeen years of experience in the international higher education (HE) sector, occupying a series of increasingly senior roles both in the UK and China, Dr Liu possesses substantial hands-on experience in successfully aligning operational processes with institutional strategic objectives. During this period, she has become proficient in overseeing a diverse range of operational responsibilities, ensuring exceptional professional services while maximising productivity, efficiency, and performance.
Since June 2018, Dr Liu has served as the Chief Operating Officer of XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang), supporting the University's Senior Management Team in implementing an innovative higher education model on a new campus of XJTLU, which sets a precedent in China for fostering an ecosystem among university, industry, business, and society. Prior to this, she held various managerial positions, including Marketing Manager at UKEC, School Manager of the International Business School Suzhou at XJTLU, Director of Planning and Business Development at XJTLU, and Director of China Operations at the University of Leicester.
In terms of academic qualifications, Dr Liu earned her dual bachelor's degrees in law and economics from Shandong University, followed by a master's degree from the University of Manchester Business School in the UK, and ultimately obtained a Doctorate in Education (EdD) from the University of Liverpool.
