ProfileCheng-Hung is a design researcher, educator, and digital artist working in the intersections of Arts, Culture, and Technology. He has an interdisciplinary background spanning across Psychology, Computer Science, and Design. His major research interests are Design Visualisation, Virtual Reality, User Experience-Driven Design, Cultural Heritage and Computational Arts. He had served as the lead guest editor of international journals, programme chair and committee members of international conferences, paper reviewers of numerous journals, as well as the postgraduate programme director. He is a member of Suzhou Key Lab for Virtual Reality Technologies and XJTLU Virtual Engineering Centre.
Cheng-Hung is a seasoned educator in creative and design technology. He had won teaching awards at the early stage in his academic career. He had led student teams to produce design works winning awards and exhibited in renowned international fairs such as the International Heritage Fair held at the Lourve, Paris.
In addition to academic research, Cheng-Hung also practices digital arts with creative coding. His own creative and collaborative works are implemented with the algorithms in computer graphics and artificial intelligence.
Cheng-Hung is awarded as the 2016 Excellent Scientific and Educational Talent by Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District in Suzhou.
