Abstract

Children are born with a natural love of learning and an innate instinct to play and explore the world around them. It is difficult to separate play from learning in early childhood, while parents often force their children to study rather than play, which leads to learning-weariness. Modern theories in education suggest that active learning is five times more effective than passive learning, helping to achieve a “flow state” that keeps children energized. The more continued success individuals gain from doing something, the more they are willing to make constant efforts. The reason why children become weary of studying is simple. They cannot get a sense of accomplishment when merely investing physical efforts in their studies. Children are different. Therefore, education should be individualized for children to experience their own sense of achievement. Individualized education will play a vital role in solving educational problems and changing how we interpret the whole system of education.
