This workshop aims to provide our faculty members and students with a comprehensive understanding of the latest advancements in AI technology and how these can be leveraged to enhance our research capabilities. By exploring the use of large language models (LLMs) and other AI tools, we will demonstrate how these technologies can automate and scale the analysis of large datasets, uncover novel insights, and support theory development and testing across various disciplines.

Presenter: Mr. Xiangyu Hu

Mr. Hu is an Assistant Professor at IBSS. With 22 years of extensive industrial experience, he has delved into diverse manufacturing sectors including IT Hardware, Medical Device, and mechanical equipment, as well as service industries like Procurement Consulting services and Intelligence Manufacturing services. He is a versatile leader, having held significant positions in procurement, consulting, project management, business development, and senior management, achieving remarkable results in each. At XJTLU, he has taught courses related to project management, business strategy, and operations strategy. Academically, he holds a Master of Management Science, a Master of Engineering, and a Bachelor of Engineering. His research interests center around AI in education and research, time-series forecasting, and supply chain management.
