Health and Safety Affairs Office

The Health and Safety Affairs Office serves as the custodian of health, safety, and security within the university campus, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a secure environment for all stakeholders.

Roles and responsibilities

1) Lab Health and Safety
• Revise and update strategic plans for lab health and safety management.
• Conduct regular inspections of lab safety management.
• Investigate lab-related accidents and incidents.
• Provide administrative support to the Lab Safety Coordinating Working Group.
• Perform safety risk assessments for lab change management.
• Centralize safety management in government-supervised areas.
• Coordinate tasks assigned by government authorities related to lab health and safety management.
• Coordinate and organize publicity and training work related to lab health and safety management on campus.

2) Public Health
• Amend or update strategic plans for public health management.
• Manage infectious disease prevention and control measures.
• Provide health consultation, pre-hosipital care and on campus first aid to staff and students.
• Maintain medical supplies on campus.
• Coordinate tasks assigned by government authorities related to public health management.
• Coordinate and organize publicity and training work related to public health management on campus.
• Provide medical support for major event.

3) Public Security
• Revise and update strategic plans for public security management.
• Manage the authorization of university security system data viewing(CCTV footage and door control system).
• Conduct safety assessments for university events and provide security support for large gatherings.
• Release University Health and Safety Tips and safety risk pre-warnings regularly.
• Collaborate with local police, and cooperate with related departments to implement anti-terrorism measures.
• Coordinate tasks assigned by government authorities related to public security management.
• Organize and coordinate the response to major incidents and emergencies under the leadership of the Senior Management Team.
• Coordinate with Police Office to maintain campus security and stability.
