MUSEUM Engaging Campus with Community as a dynamic hub cultivating cultural vibrancy.

  • Humanities Living Room – A Public Space for Borderless Connection

Breaking down campus-society boundaries, and using exhibitions and public programmes as mediums, it connects students, faculty, citizens, artists, and global thinkers, generating cultural innovation through dialogue and resonance.

  • Cultural Convergence Hub – A Practice Field for Cross-boundary Integration

Using the museum as a cultural vessel, it brings together exhibitions, collections, public education, and cutting-edge technologies, integrates social resources and interdisciplinary wisdom, and allows diverse cultures to converge and be reborn here.

MISSION

  • We strive to transform museum spaces into open, inclusive, and intelligent cultural ecosystems where culture grows alongside everyone.
  • We collect, research, and share distinctive collections that embody XJTLU’s spirit of innovation and cross-cultural dialogue, providing audiences with new cultural perspectives and reflections.
  • We engage learners of all ages through exhibitions and programmes that embrace cross-cultural and interdisciplinary fusion, nurturing cultural confidence and a vibrant campus culture.
  • We build bridges across disciplines, institutions, and communities — amplifying educational resources and extending the museum’s role as a cultural catalyst on campus and beyond.
  • We value every voice and contribution, upholding collaboration, innovation, and stewardship— making the museum a trusted campus cultural space.

Milestone

From “physical space” to “cultural ecosystem” — witnessing and driving the growth of XJTLU’s campus culture.
Over the past decade, XJTLU Museum has evolved from the SIP Main Hall, to the X Bar, to broader brand influence, and to the opening of the Taicang campus museum and the 2026 projects. This expansion is not only physical but also a shift from a single cultural carrier toward a more open and interconnected campus cultural ecosystem, offering faculty, students, the public, and wider participants richer cultural experiences, spaces for reflection, and arenas for spiritual exchange.
