IBSS undergraduate programme BA Accounting has been granted the accreditation by The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

CIMA is a UK professional accountancy body that focusses on the training and qualifying of accountants in business. It is the world's largest and leading professional body of management accountants with 227,000 members and students in 179 countries.

CIMA represents financial managers and accountants who work in industry, commerce, not-for-profit organisations and public sectors. Its key activities relate to strategies for businesses. CIMA qualification is also recognised by the AICPA – the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, another world's leading accounting body.

"We have managed to secure twelve paper exemptions from CIMA for our BA Accounting programme. Upon graduation students will need to complete the remaining five papers plus relevant work experience to be qualified as a management accountant," said Prabhu Udawatte, Director of IBSS undergraduate programmes.

"Accreditation from CIMA, ACCA and ICAEW indicates our accounting programme is on a par with world's leading professional accounting bodies."
