A new opportunity for IBSS with the EMBA Council

November 17, 2015

The IBSS International MBA for executives was officially admitted by the EMBA Council and a delegation from IBSS attended the EMBA Council Conference in Singapore from 25th October to 28th October 2015. Professor Roberto Dona gave a presentation titled "Threats and opportunities for a new incumbent in the Chinese competitive arena: the case of IBSS".

The EMBA Council is the global association of the EMBA programmes which was created more than 30 years ago as spin off from Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The council has more than 300 members with the aim to promote EMBA culture around the world.

All the top schools are members of the council which organizes a series of activities including an annual conference, regional meetings, training programame for staff and recruiting Database.

Being admitted to the EMBA Council is a new opportunity to increase the visibility of the IBSS International MBA throughout the academic community and to expand the network of alliances and exchange even further. Apart from Schools there are also institutional members (namely AACSB, GMAC and EFMD) and corporate members.

The recent conference in Singapore, attended by more than 104 different schools, was the first time that EMBAC held a conference in Asia.

All the most important Chinese players had a presence at the conference at which the theme was Global Shift. Current trends show that the IMBA programme is consistent with the most advanced market requirements and the IBSS programme is paving the way for this trend.
