On Monday, March 11, 2019, the Department of Urban Planning and Design hosted Dr.Steffen Nijhuis, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture from the Technical University of Delft and Dr. Yuting Xie from Zeijiang University. In the afternoon, the two guests were invited to review the progress of the studio ‘Urban Design Inquiry’ from the Master in Urban Design. Currently working under the lead of Dr. Christian Nolf on the design of a vast metropolitan park for the Jiangnan area, the master students received insightful comments and suggestions from the experts. In the evening, the two guests gave a lecture on the notion of Regional Design from the Western and Chinese perspectives, in front of a large and attentive audience.
