"World Cities Day is the first international day established by the United Nations with the theme of cities and the first international day initiated by the Chinese government,
"Cities are organic living beings that need to be integrated and renewed by combining new ideas and approaches. UES, as an international platform for research and cooperation of XJTLU, which is dedicated to urban and environmental development, continues to make efforts for the future of cities," Dr Xu said.
She also recalled that, as early as 2015, XJTLU served as the venue for the World Cities Day series, creating the platform for the exchange of high-end talent to promote green, low-carbon and smart development of local urban and rural construction.
