Department of Literary and Translation Studies Held a Successful Mock Conference

On December 5th, XJTLU's Department of Literature and Translation Studies (LTS) organized a successful mock conference as part of the Conference Interpreting module. Students assumed diverse roles, such as hosts, speakers, and interpreters, replicating the dynamics of an authentic conference. This hands-on experience equipped students with a spectrum of skills, from public speaking and presentations to interpreting and moderating, enhancing their readiness for future academic and professional pursuits.
Siyu Chen, the Module Leader for Conference Interpreting, expressed satisfaction with the students' performance. She highlighted the significance of this experiential learning opportunity in preparing students for the intricacies of real-world academic and professional scenarios.
