Congratulations – Research Theme Leaders and Award Winners Announced at the AMRC Information Conference

On the afternoon of November 20, 2024, the Advanced Materials Research Centre (AMRC) at  Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) held a successful information sharing session with the wider campus community. The event attracted nearly 50 participants, who joined for short presentations, in-depth discussions and fruitful exchange of ideas.

This session aimed to share comprehensive updates on AMRC’s institutional background, developmental progress, notable achievements, and strategic plans for the future with its collaborative partners from various academic units within XJTLU, including researchers, faculty, and students. It sought to build an information exchange platform for AMRC stakeholders, potential collaborators, and members of the School of Science to inspire and promote cross-departmental and interdisciplinary collaborations.

During the session, the appointments of two new academic leaders were announced: Lifeng Ding (School of Science) as the Research Theme Leader in Frontier Materials and Chun Zhao (School of Advanced Technology) as the Research Theme Leader in Information Materials.

Additionally, six researchers were awarded the first AMRC PGRS Scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year: Lifeng Ding – School of Science, Chenguang Liu – School of Robotics (Taicang), Huiqing Wen –XJTLU JITRI Academy of Industrial Technology, Heechae Choi – School of Science, Chun Zhao – School of Advanced Technology and Qiuchen Dong – School of Science.

Professor Zhoulin Ruan, Vice President of Academic Affairs, XJTLU presented certificates to the new academic leaders and scholarship recipients, extending his warm congratulations and encouraging them to pursue further innovation and scientific exploration and fully commit themselves to research excellence.
