The Educational Quality Assurance (EQA) Office places talent cultivation quality at its core. It oversees end-to-end quality control across programme and curriculum design, teaching operations, and examinations and assessments, in full alignment with Sino-UK standards and external evaluation requirements. The Office also provides robust assurance and sustained momentum for the University to deliver on its mission of talent development.
Main Responsibilities
Align with Sino-UK educational quality standards, domestic and international industry norms, and external evaluation requirements; coordinates the approval of new programme applications and programme/curriculum revisions to safeguard the quality of programme and curriculum systems.
Conduct annual programme reviews and internal periodic reviews to drive continuous improvement in curriculum development and student learning experience;
Organise assessment paper review and module mark review, ensure the standardised and efficient operation of all levels of examination boards;
Administer module questionnaires and graduate surveys, and establish and improve a closed-loop mechanism for handling student feedback;
Oversee peer observation, and manage the Teaching Development Fund and Academic Excellence Awards to continuously enhance faculty teaching competence and overall teaching quality;
Implement annual and periodic reviews with the University of Liverpool, as well as various audits by Chinese education authorities;
Support the operation of university-level teaching-related committees and oversea academic policy management;
Contribute to the evaluation and innovation of curriculum systems, and lead the implementation of various quality assurance and enhancement initiatives mandated by Chinese and UK education authorities.
