Laboratory and Technical Management Office

The Laboratory and Technical Management Office is committed to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of laboratory facilities and equipment, providing technical support through technical teams, and overseeing safety protocols to facilitate teaching and research excellence.

Roles and responsibilities

1) Basic Management
• Establish and update laboratory regulations and protocols.
• Maintain laboratory management platforms and databases.
• Provide technical support for laboratory teaching and research activities.
• Coordinate laboratory emergency response training and exercises.
• Coordinate laboratory safety training and incident investigations.
• Report laboratory data to relevant authorities.
• Participate in laboratory planning and development projects. Perform safety risk assessments for lab change management.

2) Laboratory Instrument and Equipment Management
• Maintain laboratory equipment management platforms and facilitate laboratory equipment sharing.
• Conduct risk assessments for laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Assist with budget control and procurement for laboratory equipment.
• Handle inventory management, maintenance, and disposal of laboratory equipment.
• Provide training for essential laboratory equipment to lab users.
• Establish standard operation protocols and manage usage records for laboratory equipment.

3) Chemical and Consumable Management
• Maintain laboratory management platforms and databases for hazardous chemical management.
• Assess risks associated with laboratory chemicals.
• Procure, receive, and distribute centralized managed chemicals and consumables.
• Conduct inventory audits for centralized managed chemicals and consumables.

4) Laboratory Access Management
• Maintain laboratory management platforms and databases for access management.
• Establish laboratory access rules and coordinate approval processes.
• Organize technical and equipment operational training before access authorization.

5) Laboratory Safety Management
• Implement government and university policies and regulations in areas such as chemicals, biohazards, radiation, etc..
• Ensure standard operation protocol implementation for various laboratory equipment.
