Huaxin Wanglu


Dr. Huaxin Wanglu is an Assistant Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Konstanz (Germany) and a doctoral degree with Excellent cum laude from Ramon Llull University (Spain). In addition, Dr. Wanglu has been a visiting student/researcher at the University of Essex (UK), Heidelberg University (Germany), and Peking University. Her major research sheds light on the role of dynamic, reference-dependent information and informational pluralism in assessing migration decision-making and child development, respectively. Her latest research lines center on mobility dynamics in China, encompassing commuting behavior and vaccine hesitancy. She also has an interest in applying HeXie Management Theory to comprehend the implications of AI technology adoption. To date, part of her doctoral work has been published in the Journal of International Trade & Economic Development.

During her doctoral studies, Dr. Wanglu worked as a Research & Teaching Assistant at IQS School of Management, Ramon Llull University, and contributed to two Horizon Europe research projects, helping form an international consortium. She was also an organizing committee member of the 1st International Workshop on the Chinese Development Model. In 2022, she was awarded a Catalan research mobility grant by the Societat Econòmica Barcelonesa d’Amics del País.
