Overview:

This interdisciplinary innovation platform focuses on the deep integration of affective computing and interactive health, with applications in smart elderly care, digital health and other digital–physical fusion scenarios. It conducts cutting-edge research and industrial implementation across three core directions.

1.  Affective Computing

Affective computing aims to understand and simulate human emotions, with significant value in smart healthcare and wellness. Research proceeds along three tracks:

  • Single-modal recognition using deep learning on text, speech and visual data;
  • Multi-modal fusion to improve accuracy while addressing heterogeneous data alignment;
  • Large model applications based on Qwen, LLaMA and other pre-trained models, leveraging Suzhou Industrial Park’s AI advantages to deploy intelligent customer service and personalized recommendation systems.Together, these approaches enable intelligent systems to better perceive and adapt to human emotions.

2.  Real-time Emotion Analysis

Enabled by the Internet of Things, real-time emotion analysis has become a core technology for affective computing and interactive health care. Edge AI supports low-latency local processing but faces resource and power constraints. The platform develops hardware–software co-optimization, model compression and lightweight network design to achieve efficient multi-modal fusion with low power consumption. It also strengthens data security and privacy through local processing, differential privacy, federated learning and blockchain-enabled access control.

3.  Interactive Health

Interactive Health focuses on the deep integration of cutting-edge medical image processing and surgical simulation with affective computing and digital human interaction. We aim to transcend the “cold tool” nature of technology by constructing an emotionally aware and highly immersive interactive health management platform, facilitating a paradigm shift from “disease-centered” to “human-centered” care.

  • Affective Digital Human Interaction: Integrating affective computing into digital avatars to enable multimodal sensing, psychological intervention, and intelligent interactive companionship within smart elderly care scenarios;
  • Precision Digital Twin & Reconstruction: Developing high-precision digital physiological models through medical image processing and 3D reconstruction to establish a robust data foundation for health interaction.
  • Fusion Reality & Tracking: Deeply embedding precision tracking and MR technologies into smart healthcare contexts to provide emotionally-resonant rehabilitation guidance and digital-intelligent health interventions.
