The Intelligent Automation and Embodied AI Centre is an interdisciplinary research platform dedicated to advancing intelligent systems that can perceive, learn, interact, and act in the physical world. The Centre brings together expertise in artificial intelligence, robotics, mechatronics, simulation, micro/nano sensing, intelligent instruments, and automation to address challenges arising from complex real-world environments.
Working closely with academic, industrial, and public-sector partners, the Centre focuses on applications in intelligent manufacturing, robotics, life sciences, healthcare, functional food evaluation, environmental monitoring, semiconductors, and high-end scientific instrumentation. It also embeds research-led and project-based learning into its activities, enabling students to tackle authentic industrial challenges and develop practical skills in intelligent automation and embodied AI.
