Professional Competency Development Programme for In-service Practitioners

Professional Competency Development Programme for In-service Practitioners

Designed specifically for working professionals in the biopharmaceutical sector, this programme delivers targeted training to accelerate career advancement and enhance industry-specific competencies.

AI-Empowered Innovative Drug R&D Micro-Major Programme

Led by the Academy and co-developed with experts from partner institutions, including Insilico Medicine, DeepMed, and the Suzhou Institute of Systems Medicine, this programme sits at the dynamic intersection of “AI and Pharmacy”. Responding to the digital transformation sweeping the biopharmaceutical sector, it equips students with a solid grounding in Pharmacy, Biology, and Computational Science, along with a deep understanding of AI-driven drug R&D—from target discovery to molecular design and screening. Beyond technical proficiency, the curriculum cultivates skills in data analysis, model interpretation, and research innovation, ensuring participants are well-prepared for an ever-changing industry. Successful participants will earn a Micro-Credential Programme Certificate co-issued by XJTLU, Insilico Medicine, and DeepMed. The programme is registered with the Ministry of Education as a micro-major and is verifiable via the CHSI platform.

Regulatory Science & Compliance Enhancement Programme

This programme focuses on the critical intersection of regulation and compliance in drug development. Through in-depth policy analysis and real-world case studies, participants learn to navigate regulatory frameworks, mitigate legal risks, and optimise R&D strategies. The programme covers the entire lifecycle of innovative drug development, equipping professionals with the risk assessment and strategic planning skills necessary to ensure compliant and efficient project execution.

ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering) Specialised Training Series

As the host institution of the ISPE Student Chapter, the Academy organises a series of specialised training programmes for both enrolled students and industry professionals, focusing on cutting-edge standards and practices in engineering and quality within the biopharmaceutical sector. The curriculum covers GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to equip participants with essential quality control principles in pharmaceutical production; GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice) to provide insights into the compliant application of automated systems in the industry; and ICH (International Council for Harmonisation) thematic modules to familiarise participants with international technical requirements for drug registration, thereby enhancing the global competitiveness of enterprises. The training is delivered by ISPE-certified instructors and combines theoretical instruction with hands-on practice, deepening participants’ understanding and practical application of these critical standards and regulations.
