ProfileThe movement of water never fails to fascinate me. The delicate interplay of water from different parts and of various forms composes the most elegant melody in nature.
Driven by strong curiosities, my research is focused on the interactions between surface water and groundwater in fresh and saline water systems. I create numerical models, apply data analyses, and conduct field investigations to understand how flow, energy and solute transport from the surface to the subsurface regions under varying natural and anthropogenic stresses.
I hold a doctoral degree in Geography (Dr. rer. nat. with great honors) from department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Humboldt University of Berlin. I am currently an assistant professor in the department of Health and Environmental Sciences, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
From Nov 2023, I serve as an associate editor for Journal of Hydrology.
