Rining Wei

Profile

Rining WEI (Tony), PhD, teaches courses related to bilingualism and research methods at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, at the Department of Applied Linguistics, XJTLU, where he serves as Deputy Head of Department. He has supervised over 20 master’s and PhD dissertations to successful completion, which cover three areas: (1) English for Specific Purposes (ESP), (2) Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and (3) individual differences (IDs, e.g. grit, resilience, and flow) in learning an additional language.

Currently, Dr. Wei also serves as
