Abstract

Education transformation via three models is the University’s core strategy in next five years. As the University community, both students and staff are key stakeholders and agents in innovating our education systems in our daily learning and teaching.

To support staff and students to engage in innovative practices and transformation, the University decides to hold an annual event “XJTLU Annual Transforming Education Conference” that aims to bring all the stakeholders together annually to share their views and discuss key issues in exploring the future of XJTLU education.

XJTLU Annual Transforming Education Conference 2022 will mainly consist of three parts, which are Keynote speech on the morning of June 1st, Annual Learning and Teaching Colloquium and Annual Research-led Learning Colloquium composed of multiple parallel forums until afternoon June 2nd.

We sincerely invite you to participate in conference and forums, explore the transformation of education and the innovation of teaching and learning with a wide range of participants from all departments of the XJTLU.

Prof Chris Harris, XJTLU's Vice President Academic Affairs

Xiaojun Zhang, Executive Dean of the Academy of Future Education and Dean of ILEAD at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Helen Beech, the Dean of the School of Languages and a Principal Language Lecturer in the English Language Centre.

Juming Shen, Head of Learning Institute for Future Excellence (LIFE), a department dedicated to develop students’ lifelong learning capacity as well as the overall learning practices in XJTLU.

Charlie Reis, an Educational Developer for Learning and Teaching, Director of XJTLU's Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Supporting Learning in Higher Education (PGCert), and Director of the Educational Development Unit.
