Academic Affairs and Systems Office

The Academic Affairs and Systems Office plays a crucial role in managing various aspects of academic operations and the core student information system that supports the University’s educational vision and mission. It focuses on enhancing academic functionalities and providing essential support for key academic affairs, contributing to the advancement of the University’s educational goals.

Main responsibilities

Academic Affairs Support Team

  • Plan and support University-level academic events as assigned, such as Academic Leadership Forum/Away Day, Academic Fair for Stage 1 Student Programme Choice; and be responsible for the major academic events applications and procedure follow up;
  • Provide administrative support to University committees, including committee documents creation and maintenance, secretariat support to university-level committees, and operational management of committee student representations;
  • Manage and facilitate other university strategic academic affairs, including Annual Planning Activities (Academic), Non-Degree Education Programmes, and Academic Excellence Awards.

 

Academic Affairs Systems Team

  • Manage and maintain the University’s central student information system (SITS) and its web portal (e-Bridge), including system upgrades and maintenance, data management, online feature development and maintenance, technical support, training and documentation etc. ;
  • Generate reports and provide data analytics to facilitate evidence-based decision making, strategic planning, programme review and accreditation.
