Welcome to Suzhou! We are thrilled to host the ASA2026 conference at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, we have compiled essential information regarding transportation, accommodation, and local attractions.
Getting to Suzhou
Suzhou is highly accessible via two major international airports: Shanghai (Recommended) and Hangzhou.
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA): The most convenient option. You can take a high-speed train directly from Hongqiao Airport Railway Station to Suzhou Railway Station or Suzhouyuanqu Railway Station. The journey takes only 25–30 minutes. Alternatively, a direct taxi, subway, or ride-hailing app (DiDi) to XJTLU.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG): Located further east. The easiest route is to take the Maglev train or Metro Line 2 to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, then transfer to a high-speed train to Suzhou.
From Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH)
Take a high-speed train from Hangzhou East Railway Station to Suzhou. The train ride takes about 1.5 hours. You can reach Hangzhou East Station from the airport by taxi or metro. Pro Tip: Download the “DiDi” app (available in English) for convenient airport transfers within China.
