Joint SCMT7 & ICSBS2027 Conference Seventh International Conference on Sustainable Construction Materials and Technologies (SCMT7) International Conference on Sustainable Buildings and Structures 2027 (ICSBS2027)
We are delighted to announce that Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), Suzhou, China, will host the Joint SCMT7 & ICSBS2027 Conference from 18 to 23 June 2027, with registration and a welcome reception taking place on 18 June 2027.
ICSBS2027 is the fourth edition of a conference series that began in 2015, organised every four years by the Design School, with the Department of Civil Engineering serving as the lead department. The ICSBS aims to promote sustainability in buildings, structures, design, materials, strategies, planning, and education. The previous conference, held at XJTLU, attracted leading experts in the discipline, and the upcoming edition is planned to be delivered jointly with the renowned conference on construction materials, SCMT7.
SCMT7 follows the highly successful series of previous Sustainable Construction Materials and Technologies conferences held in Coventry, UK (2007), Ancona, Italy (2010), Kyoto, Japan (2013), Las Vegas, USA (2016), London, UK (2019), and Lyon, France (2024). Together with ICSBS2027, this joint event will provide an outstanding international forum for researchers, engineers, practitioners, policymakers, and industry professionals to exchange the latest developments in sustainable construction materials, technologies, buildings, and infrastructure.

Located in the heart of Jiangsu Province, Suzhou is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, UNESCO World Heritage classical gardens, picturesque canals, and vibrant innovation ecosystem.
