XJTLU X-REC Formula Racing Team was spontaneously established by students, supported by the School of Intelligent Manufacturing Ecosystem and Innovation Factory. It mainly designs and manufactures Formula racing cars and participates in the Formula Student China Series. It is the first formula student team in urban Suzhou. The fleet is mainly divided into technical and operational departments, where members can gain practical experience in electrical, mechanical, and operational management aspects.
How it is being developed
The technical department of the team is divided into chassis&suspension group, powertrain group, aerodynamic group, and frame&ergonomics group. Members of each department are responsible for developing and designing the relevant racing components of their own group during the design phase. After each group completes the design, they conduct vehicle simulation; Subsequently, it enters the stage of racing car manufacturing, where team members need to manufacture most of the racing car components themselves and complete all assembly, and finally pass real car testing to meet the competition standards. At the same time, the business and publicity departments need to find sponsors for the team and conduct commercial development in order to continuously expand the team’s commercial value and influence.
Expected outcome
Capable of producing high-performance and durable racing cars that can pass race inspections and perform dynamic driving, and achieve good results in the Formula Student China series of events for university students; At the same time, it can make the team’s commercial value and sponsorship resources at the forefront of the student team, and achieve good results in the commercial defense of the competition.
