Professor Eng Hwa Yap has held academic and leadership positions at several universities, including the University of Technology Sydney, the University of Nottingham Malaysia, and University College London’s former Australian campus.
His research focuses on curated multidisciplinary and mixed approaches of inquiry, aiming to understand and address complex problems surrounding technology, environmental sustainability, and future energy systems. He also employs methods centering on systems thinking to investigate emerging and contemporary issues in technologies.
Prof. Weidong Li | Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology
Professor Weidong Li is currently serving as Dean, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Cheung Kong Scholars Distinguished Professor, Shanghai Innovation leader, Fellow of IMechE and IET, and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. He has worked as Senior Engineer, Senior Lecturer, and Professor at the National Institute of Manufacturing Research in Singapore, the University of Bath, Cranfield University and Coventry University. He has chaired more than 30 scientific research projects, such as EU FP7, EU Horizon, EP SRC and IUK, served as the director of the EU international cooperation program, and presided over enterprise horizontal research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Shanghai Commission of Science and Technology.

Mr Bo Zhan graduated from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics and received EMBA degree from the University of International Business and Economic. He has served in senior management positions of Haier Group, including Financial Director of China, Financial Director of Europe, and Financial Director of Communication Products Department. Currently, he is the Vice President of Haier Group, and serving as the chairman and founding partner of Haier Group’s business incubation platform Hai Chuanghui (HCH). He leads the ecological layoutof Haier smart home, the implementation of digital transformation and globalization strategy, and promotes industrial upgrading in multiple fields.

Mr Mao Ye graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and received MBA degree. He has worked in senior management positions in Foxconn Electronics Industry Development Co., LTD., Philips High-tech Injection Molding (Suzhou) Co., LTD., Micron Precision Injection Molding (Suzhou) Co., LTD., and Solecto Solar Technology (Suzhou) Co., LTD. Now he served as the Chairman of Suzhou Sinnotech Technology Co., Ltd.
As a senior expert in precision manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing, Mr Ye leads the core technology research and development, global market layout and intelligent transformation and upgrading, and promotes the innovative application of precision parts technology in automotive, consumer electronics and other fields.

Professor Chaolin Tan is a Distinguished Professor at the Institute of Metallic Materials and Intelligent Manufacturing, Soochow University, and a Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM). Dr Xiaojie Lin is a Distinguished Associate Research Fellow at the College of Energy Engineering, Zhejiang University, specializing in smart energy systems and integrated energy management. With a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a B.S. from Zhejiang University. Dr Lin has led numerous national and provincial research projects focused on multi-energy coupling, carbon reduction, and intelligent scheduling.
His work has been recognized with prestigious honors, including the Jiangsu “333 High-Level Talent” award and multiple provincial science and technology prizes. As a prolific scholar with over 50 first or corresponding author publications, Dr Lin also serves on several editorial boards and plays an active role in international academic conferences, shaping the future of low-carbon and intelligent energy systems.
