In addition to research and education, the Department of Foundational Mathematics is proud to support XJLTU students who attend mathematical contests at the national and international level. Since 2008, the Department has provided foundational leadership, training and supervision to student participants in the Mathematical Contest in Modeling and Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (MCM/ICM), one of the world’s most important and influential contests in mathematical modeling. XJTLU students have achieved great success at MCM/ICM, a contest of the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications (COMAP), a US nonprofit organization, in recent years.
