Transcripts and Certificates

Overview

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University provides electronic transcript and certification services for both current students and alumni. The available documents for application include the XJTLU transcript, the enrolment status letter, and the UoL interim transcript (if applicable).

The electronic transcripts and certifications are secure PDF files with digital signatures, which utilize dual-digital-signature technology that combines national cryptographic and international encryption algorithms to ensure their authenticity and immutability. Recipients can use Adobe Reader to open the files, click on the digital signature to verify the signature status, and review the signature attributes and issuance time of the digital certificates. Additionally, the electronic documents can also be verified through the university’s official website and the China Higher Education Student Information (CHSI) website.

Electronic transcripts and certifications provide convenience, environmental benefits, and enhanced security. Through the e-Bridge portal, students can effortlessly request and promptly obtain the required documents to fulfill their needs, whether for further education or employment purposes.


Application Methods for Electronic Version

The specific methods for applying for electronic transcripts and certificates are as follows:

 

For current students:

  • Log in to e-Bridge
  • Navigate to Academic > Academic Records > Transcripts and Other Certifications > Request Form
  • Enter the ‘Electronic’ page
  • Select the document type needed
  • Fill in the email address to receive the document
  • Submit the application

 

For alumni:

  • Log in to e-Bridge
  • Go to the Alumni Page > Transcripts and Other Certifications > Request Form
  • Enter the ‘Electronic’ page
  • Select the document type needed
  • Fill in the email address to receive the document
  • Submit the application

 

Upon submission, the document will be sent in real-time to the specified email address.

 

This service is currently provided to students free of charge.


Application Methods for Paper Version

The electronic document application portal is undergoing a trial operation in the second semester of the 2024/25 academic year. During this period, both the paper and electronic document application portals will be available simultaneously. For the transitional period, the specific methods for applying for paper transcripts and certificates are as follows:

 

For current students:

  • Log in to e-Bridge
  • Navigate to Academic Records > Transcripts and Other Certifications > Request Form
  • Enter the ‘Pick up in person’ page
  • Select the document type needed
  • Submit the application
  • A collection notification will be sent to the student’s XJTLU email account within 3-5 working days after the application is submitted.

 

For alumni:

  • Log in to e-Bridge
  • Go to the Alumni Page > Transcripts and Other Certifications > Request Form
  • Enter the ‘Pick up in person/Package Delivery’ page
  • Select the document type needed
  • Fill in the mailing address (if applicable)
  • Submit the application
  • Upon submission, a collection notification will be sent to the specified email address within 3-5 working days.

 

The first copy of the paper document in each application is charged at 10 RMB, and each additional copy is charged at 2 RMB. If the mailing service is selected, the corresponding courier fee will also be charged.
