Chengtao Ji is an Assistant Professor at Xi'an Jiao Tong-Liverpool University. He obtained his Doctoral degree in Scientific Visualization and Computer Graphics (SVCG) group from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Afterward, he continues to work as a postdoc in the same group.

His research is mainly focusing on information visualization and (unsupervised) machine learning, which are applied to various scenarios, e.g., astronomy, medical, digital humanity, etc.
