My four years at XJTLU have been transformative. As Minister of Arts and Literature in the Student Union, I organized a campus performance with The Voice of China, which enhanced my event planning and communication skills. Thanks to my professional courses and supportive professors, I received consecutive scholarships. These years have broadened my international perspective and helped me form lasting friendships. I am now heading to University College London for a Master’s in Applied Linguistics. I am grateful to XJTLU for these enriching experiences and wish the Class of 2024 a bright future.

The four years I spent at XJTLU were incredibly special to me. I learned a new sport—golf—and had the honor of joining the school team, even serving as the captain for one year. Additionally, we organized many Sino-foreign international competitions, gaining valuable experience and forming precious friendships. XJTLU opened my eyes to the diversity of the world and the endless possibilities in life. Every day was new, and every day was meaningful.

My four years at XJTLU have been transformative. The inclusive environment allowed for self-discovery and expression. I participated in unions, volunteer activities, and served on the University Academic Committee, winning scholarships and awards. Joining Filmmaking in my third year, I enjoyed creating documentaries and producing films, gaining immense satisfaction. Internships at ByteDance, RED, Harvard China Education Symposium, and TEDx helped me find my true passion. May we all embark on our next journey with greater beauty! Congratulations!

When I first came to XJTLU, I developed a strong interest in photography, so I began to record campus life with my camera. I began to realize that photography is not only about recording, but also a way to express my feelings and creativity for this campus. This creative process makes me feel extremely fulfilled and happy. During the internship in UMC, I think the most rewarding thing is that I have found what I really love. I have completed many meaningful projects with the whole excellent team, and I am also able to integrate this love into my work, so that my photography ability can be fully displayed on this stage, and I have a sense of participation in the field of campus website update and video creation.

Graduating from XJTLU is a bittersweet moment for me. After four years of hard work, I’m thrilled to have completed my degree, marking a significant milestone towards my goal of working in research. When I first arrived, I was captivated by the beautiful campus and the sense of freedom it offered. The friendships, memories, and the supportive academic environment have made my time here unforgettable. I wish I had told myself to enjoy every moment without much worry about the outside pressure. Now, as I prepare to pursue a higher degree in biology, I will deeply miss Suzhou’s comforting pace and the nurturing community at XJTLU.

Starting as an International Business student, I believed I would graduate with professional knowledge and some practical business experience. What I didn’t expect is that by the time of graduation, I would have already co-founded a business, acted in multiple films, served as a marketing manager at several companies, become a professional dragon boater, managed logistics for Chinese exports, volunteered in animal welfare projects, designed websites and graphic materials for many artists and businesses. Looking back, this journey just blows my mind! Huge thanks to everyone I met along the way, and to future students: make as many friends and seize the numerous opportunities that XJTLU provides.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being a part of the second graduating cohort of the Taicang Campus. These past few years I’ve had wonderful experiences, made cherished memories, and met incredible friends who still inspire me everyday. My life at university has taught me this: seize the opportunities that come your way. Even the smallest conversations with a stranger can open doors you never thought possible.

The highlight of my university life at XJTLU is the friends I made here. Coming to campus as a major introvert, I didn't expect to leave my shell and befriend so many amazing people. If it hadn't been for my dearest Indonesian community, super kind classmates, and friendly teachers I've met throughout my four years here, I wouldn't have grown into who I am today. Now that I'm graduating, I'll be doing a language course in Shanghai while finding work here in China.

I am deeply grateful for the balanced university life I experienced, from taking various courses, interning in the University Marketing and Communications team, to exploring the beautiful city of Suzhou. As someone who has always lived in a tropical country, I especially loved encountering cherry blossoms during the Spring season. Ultimately, the highlight of my university experience would be completing my first dissertation supervised by a professor I highly admire, Dr. Daniel Hampson. His professional guidance and support have played a significant role in my academic growth.
