The MRes Advanced Chemical Sciences programme provides you with the education and training needed to understand different aspects of the field of chemical sciences.

The programme covers a wide range of topics, from synthetic chemistry to nanotechnology, with analytical methods and instrumentation training. Strong emphasis is placed on developing your project management and professional skills. After completing the taught modules, you will conduct a 18-month extensive research project of your choice that leads to the Master’s dissertation. Your studies will be guided by a customized learning plan, taking into account your background, interests and career aspirations, by advisement with your supervisor, and the academic and development advisers.

XJTLU-JITRI Joint-Supervision Pathway

This programme also offers XJTLU-JITRI joint supervision pathway which leverage the strength from both XJTLU and the research institutes and leading enterprises of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI) to promote in-depth integration between industry, education and research. Through the unique training model integrating specialised module study, industrial research practice and dual supervision mechanism, we aim to cultivate cross-disciplinary talents who are innovative, application-oriented and with high-level international perspective.
