Xiaoliang Yuan, an expert on Suzhou Pingtan gave a lecture on the art form at the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University Museum. Pingtan is storytelling and singing in Suzhou dialect and is based on Suzhou’s traditional Wu culture.
