VIDEO: Architecture students design wearable models of hats

Students from the Department of Architecture at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University designed and documented scale models of hats to wear at a picnic in a collaborative exercise involving design, construction, and role-playing.
“This activity introduces one of our key interests in this programme which is to shift thinking about space to human beings and away from form alone,” said Dr Claudia Westermann, programme director of BEng Architecture.
The activity is organised each year to allow students to explore their creative design ideas at an early stage in their architectural education.
