Four XJTLU research projects secure provincial government funding

Four Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University research projects have been successful in the 2019 Natural Science Foundation of the Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions of China grants, announced in July.

The Natural Science Foundation of the Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions of China aims to support basic research and applied research that addresses the needs of economic and social development, as well as the development of science and technology in Jiangsu Province.

The XJTLU academics who will lead the projects are Dr Xinyao Yang, Dr Long Bai and Dr Niels Gresnigt from the Department of Mathematical Sciences, and Dr Chun Zhao from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

The research projects will be conducted over a two-year period.

XJTLU projects listed in the 2019 Natural Science Foundation of the Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions of China are:

  • Orbital stability of nonlinear waves and pattern forming of wave-like phenomena in combustion and heat reactions (Project leader: Dr Xinyao Yang, Department of Mathematical Sciences)
  • Asymptotic analysis of Gaussian model and its applications (Project leader: Dr Long Bai, Department of Mathematical Sciences)
  • Quantum Cosmology study from the Superposition of Graphs (Project leader: Dr Niels Gresnigt, Department of Mathematical Sciences)
  • Reliability of Hafnium Oxide Dielectric Thin Film Transistor Devices Prepared by Solution Method (Project leader: Dr Chun Zhao, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering)
