The XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) has pioneered and implemented the model of “Industry-themed Schools”, dedicated to cultivating elite talents capable of solving real industrial problems and driving future industry development. Unlike traditional academic schools that are discipline-oriented, Industry-themed Schools are founded on industries rather than single disciplines, aiming to nurture future-oriented industry leaders rather than solely academic specialists.
The development logic of Industry-themed Schools originates from the characteristics and demands of the digital and intelligent era, in which the rapid advancement of new technologies has posed significant challenges and transformations to industries. The College identifies key issues and core technology areas from real industry challenges and future trends driven by technological disruption. It then continuously refines its curriculum around these interdisciplinary and evolving technology clusters.
Each Industry-themed School at the XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) is co-established by the College and leading enterprises in the corresponding industry, embedding industrial perspectives and resources into its very foundation. It serves as a representative model of deep integration between industry and education. Each Industry-themed School has established a joint venture with its partner enterprise, deeply integrating industry resources into teaching, research, and development. This ensures that what students learn aligns with industry needs and that research outcomes are directly applicable to industry practice.
Through this philosophy and mechanism, Industry-themed Schools continuously explore and address key issues arising from industrial transformation, cultivating high-caliber, innovative industry professionals who are proficient in both technology and industry, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of industry and society.

Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Hub: Bridging the University and Industry to Build an Innovation Ecosystem Engine
The Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Hub is a strategic core platform established by the XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang). It is dedicated to connecting academia and industry to build a symbiotic ecosystem that drives industrial upgrading and future-oriented innovation.
Four Core Pillars Enabling the Full Innovation Cycle
1. Entrepreneurship Education(EE): Learning and Creating within Real Industry Contexts
We apply the principle of Syntegrative Education by embedding entrepreneurship education deeply into the undergraduate curriculum.
Integrated Curriculum Design: Combining major courses from the Industry-themed Schools with minor courses offered by the Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Hub to develop interdisciplinary knowledge structures.
Project-Based Learning: Leveraging real industry environments to encourage cross-disciplinary teamwork, enabling students to enhance their overall competencies through solving real-world problems.
Access to Frontier Resources: Offering students opportunities to engage with cutting-edge industry resources and practices, fostering innovation through real experience.
2. Entrepreneurship & Incubation(EI): End-to-End Empowerment from Ideas to Societal Impact
We have developed a full-cycle incubation system composed of the Innovation Factory and X³ Co-Venture to support every innovative idea.
X³ Co-Venture: The Accelerator for Entrepreneurial Projects
As the College’s startup centre, it provides full-process support from incubation to acceleration. By connecting industry, markets and investment—and following the philosophy of “supporting early momentum and guiding future growth”—it matches critical resources to projects at different stages, helping students realise entrepreneurial success and ultimately return innovation outcomes to society.
Innovation Factory: A Launchpad for Turning Ideas into Reality
The Innovation Factory serves as the practical hub of Syntegrative Education, connecting all schools across the X and more than80 laboratory facilities. Supported by academic experts, industry mentors and advanced equipment, it focuses on rapid prototyping and technical solution development, helping students transform ideas into practical products or solutions and enriching their learning experience.
3.Enterprise & Industry Ecosystem(EIE): Building a Collaborative Innovation Community
We are committed to building an ecosystem that brings together industry, academia and government.
Promoting Industry–Academia–Research Collaboration: Developing industry-driven education models through close collaboration with enterprises to cultivate industry-leading talent aligned with future needs.
Facilitating Efficient Resource Allocation: Working with government and institutional partners to optimise the innovation environment, encourage knowledge sharing and support technology transfer, creating shared value for all stakeholders in the ecosystem.
4.Industry Executive Education(IEE): Developing Leaders Who Drive Industrial Transformation
We redefine executive education by providing lifelong learning programmes that integrate technology and management for industry leaders and practitioners. Unlike traditional business schools, our focus is on cultivating leaders who can drive transformation across entire industries, rather than merely enhancing internal corporate management capabilities.
