Helen Beech is the Dean of the School of Languages and a Principal Language Lecturer in the English Language Centre. She holds an MA in History from the University of St Andrews, UK, as well as the Cambridge DELTA. She has been working in various roles at XJTLU since 2013, including working in several managerial positions such as Integrated Learning Manager and Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching. In terms of English for Academic Purposes, she has more than 10 years of teaching experience, including teaching at XJTLU and designing EAP curricula and assessments for over seven years. Her current research interests include cognitive load theory, transfer of learning and content-language integrated learning.
