ABSTRACT
This symposium serves as an establishment ceremony for the Research Group for Linguistics and Intercultural Studies, affiliated with the Department of Applied Linguistics, Xi’an Jiaotong - Liverpool University. Six invited speakers, all of whom are members of this research group, will present their cutting-edge research. The invited talks will cover linguistics areas such as Systemic Functional Linguistics, child language acquisition, speech perception, discourse analysis, psycholinguistics, second language acquisition, English for academic purposes, historical linguistics, and corpus linguistics.
